About this kitchen
European in construction and proportion: full-access boxes, slab doors, and a line of brass edge pulls instead of knobs. The two-tone split is horizontal — white above, oak below — with the refrigerator and pantry wall in oak to anchor the end of the room.
The island is a single waterfall in Calacatta Gold quartz with a wide overhang for stools; the same slab runs up the range wall beneath a flush oak hood.
In the living room the oak slab repeats as a fireplace wall between arched built-in niches, so the kitchen's two materials carry through the open floor plan.
