Kitchen cabinet installation in New Jersey — by the people who sold you the cabinets
We do not hand you a list of installers. The cabinets we design and sell are installed by our own crew, checked by your designer, with countertops and tile scheduled behind them so the kitchen finishes in one run. One number to call from demolition to the last piece of trim.
What our installation includes
- Delivery, assembled. Cabinets arrive built, checked against the drawings and staged in the house.
- Demolition and prep. The old kitchen out, walls patched, floor protected; wall, plumbing and electrical changes priced with the cabinets and done before the boxes go up.
- Setting and levelling. Every base and wall cabinet shimmed level and plumb and screwed to the studs, so doors line up and counters sit flat.
- Fillers, panels and mouldings. Scribed fillers at the walls, finished end panels, refrigerator and dishwasher panels, crown and light rail, toe kicks.
- Hardware and adjustment. Knobs and pulls drilled from a template, hinges and drawer fronts adjusted for even gaps.
- Hoods and appliance panels. Custom hood surrounds built on site; panel-ready appliances fitted to the line's panels.
- Countertops, then tile. Counters templated once the cabinets are set and installed about two weeks later; backsplash tile goes in after the counters.
- Walk-through. Your designer checks the install against the drawings before the crew leaves.
Why the installer matters as much as the cabinet
A semi-custom kitchen set a quarter-inch out of level shows it in every door gap and in the countertop seam. We have installed the same lines — Fabuwood, Forevermark, Shiloh, Eclipse and the rest — in hundreds of New Jersey homes, so the crew knows each line's panels, fillers and hardware before the truck arrives. Because the people who sold the kitchen are the people installing it, there is no handoff and nobody to argue with about a gap.
Framed, frameless and inset
Framed lines (Fabuwood Allure, Forevermark, Shiloh overlay) forgive a little more in an old house; frameless lines (Eclipse, Fabuwood Illume) and inset doors (Shiloh inset, Great Northern, Plain & Fancy, Crystal) need walls and floors dealt with first and reveals set to the sixteenth. Our inset vs framed vs frameless guide explains the difference; our crew installs all three every week.
Timeline
Demolition to the last piece of trim is typically one to three weeks for a kitchen, longer when walls move or the room is being gutted to the studs. Cabinets, counters and tile are ordered together, so the install is not waiting on a backsplash.
