What moves the number
The line and the door. A stocked shaker in a Signature color and an inset beaded door in a custom Sherwin-Williams color can be the same kitchen layout at three times the price. Most New Jersey kitchens land in Level II.
How many boxes, and how tall. Full-height pantry walls, panelled refrigerator surrounds and tall ovens add more than extra base cabinets do.
Modifications. Custom depths, reduced heights, appliance panels, hood surrounds and glass doors are where semi-custom earns its name — and its price.
Countertops. We group quartz, quartzite, granite, marble, Dekton and porcelain into levels; a waterfall edge or a full-height slab backsplash adds fabrication.
Layout changes. Removing a wall, moving plumbing or adding circuits for an island is where remodels differ most; we price it with the cabinets so there's one number.
What's in a My House Kitchen estimate
Cabinets by line item, countertops with templating and installation, tile and labor, hardware, delivery and installation by our own crew, and the 3D design — free. Appliances and fixtures are listed separately so you can swap them without re-quoting.
How to spend less without feeling it
Use a stocked color on the perimeter and a Designer color on the island; put drawers where you'd use roll-outs; choose a Level II quartz with a Level III look; keep plumbing where it is; and ask about showroom displays being retired as new lines arrive — they're sold as shown and can be delivered or installed by our crew.
