Most of the stock cabinetry we sell is warehoused within an hour of our showrooms. That is the whole advantage: the door you choose on a Saturday is on a shelf in Linden or Moorestown or Edison, not in a factory queue, so a kitchen can go from design to installed in a few weeks instead of a season. It also means the colour you see on the sample door is the colour that arrives — stocked lines do not change their palette between order and delivery.

Who should buy in stock

Anyone on a deadline — a house closing, a tenant turnover, a holiday — and anyone whose kitchen fits standard widths and whose colour is a white, a grey, a navy or a natural oak. The Cranford Petit White kitchen is a good example of how far a stocked line goes: slim-shaker whites, a Petit Oak island with a waterfall top and brass hardware. Odd widths, a Sherwin-Williams colour, inset doors or a reeded island move you to semi-custom.

How the timeline runs

Showroom visit. Bring rough wall lengths and photos; a designer draws the kitchen in 3D and prices it in a stocked line, free.
Field measure and order. We confirm sizes at the house and order cabinets, countertops and tile together.
Delivery, assembled. Days to about two weeks, depending on the line.
Installation. One to three weeks by our own crew; counters templated once the cabinets are set and installed about two weeks later, tile after the counters.

What does in stock mean for cabinets?

The door style and colour are warehoused assembled or flat-pack, so there is no factory lead time — only the days it takes the warehouse to pull, assemble and deliver. Semi-custom and custom cabinets are built to order after you sign.

How fast can in-stock cabinets be installed?

FGM quotes three to five business days from Linden, 21st Century five to seven days from Moorestown and Forevermark ships most orders in days; the rest are typically about two weeks. Installation takes one to three weeks once the cabinets are on site, and countertops are templated after the cabinets are set.

Which colours are in stock?

Whites and greys in every line; navy at 21st Century (Nova), J&K (Naval), Forevermark (Petit Blue, XTerra Blue) and WoodConcept (Ocean); green at 21st Century (Kingston) and J&K (Sage); black at WoodConcept (Caviar), Forevermark (Blaze Black) and 21st Century (Wildwood); natural oak and wood tones in most. Stock changes — your designer confirms the colour and the week before you order.

Are in-stock cabinets lower quality?

No — the lines here use plywood boxes, solid-wood doors, dovetail drawers and soft-close hardware. Stock means a short, fixed menu, not a thinner box.

Can I mix an in-stock line with a custom hood or island?

Yes. A stocked perimeter with a custom-colour island from a semi-custom line is one of the most common ways we keep a kitchen on budget — the Scotch Plains kitchen pairs Forevermark walls with a black Cubitac island.

Do you deliver assembled?

Always, unless you ask for flat-pack. Our crew installs; contractors and hands-on homeowners can buy cabinets only with the drawings.
