About Great Northern
Great Northern Cabinetry has built cabinetry in Rib Lake, Wisconsin since 1972 and sells only through authorized dealers. The Eden Collection is face-framed in three tiers — Classic (1/2" plywood box, natural birch interior, full-extension soft-close drawers), Deluxe and Great Lakes — in full overlay, enhanced full overlay, inset and beaded inset; the Jay Rambo Signature Series is European-style frameless with 3/4" plywood cases, finished-veneer exposed sides and solid maple dovetail drawers with an optional walnut upgrade. Eleven species including rift and quarter-sawn white oak, walnut and rustic alder, 33 door styles plus Grande variants, hand-applied stains, opaque colours, glazes and time-worn finishes, custom stain and Sherwin-Williams colour programs. In our showrooms Great Northern sits at the Shiloh-inset level.
Why we carry it
When a Shiloh inset kitchen is the right level but the room needs something Shiloh does not make — quarter-sawn white oak, a Grande-scale door, a glazed or time-worn finish, a custom stain match — Great Northern is the custom shop we trust at the same price level.
How it's built
- Eden Classic: 3/4" × 1-1/2" kiln-dried face frames, 1/2" plywood sides with natural birch interior, 3/4" birch-veneer shelves, 5/8" solid maple dovetail drawers, soft-close full-extension guides, 6-way adjustable soft-close hinges
- Eden Deluxe and Great Lakes: same drawer box and hinges on a maple-laminate interior (plywood or industrial particleboard sides by tier)
- Jay Rambo Classic EW: 3/4" plywody case, 1/2" plywood back, exposed sides in finished veneer matching the doors; furniture-grade solid maple dovetail drawers, optional walnut
- Hand-applied translucent stains with satin or matte topcoat; opaque colours on maple, oak and rustic alder; glazes, wear-sand, distressing and rub-thru
- KCMA Environmental Stewardship certified; made in Rib Lake, Wisconsin; limited lifetime warranty (10 years on Great Lakes)

Limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser (Great Lakes tier: 10 years). Custom, made to order in Wisconsin — ask your designer for the current schedule.
