About this kitchen
A new-construction kitchen under a coffered ceiling. The owners wanted classic proportions with a modern edge, so the doors are Shiloh's Scottsdale shaker set flush inset — the cleanest version of a painted kitchen.
Polar is a bright, slightly cool white that holds up against the honed quartzite. The island breaks it with rift white oak left natural, and the wood repeats on the hood band, the floating shelves and the frames of the glass uppers.
The butler's pantry between kitchen and dining room flips the palette: Black-painted bases, a stained oak upper with glass doors and lighting, and a beverage center — a bar that reads as a separate room.
