Countertop replacement in New Jersey — new stone on your existing cabinets in about two weeks
Quartz, quartzite, granite, marble, Dekton or porcelain on the kitchen you already have: quoted from a photo, templated by a technician, fabricated through our stone partners and installed by our own crew — with the sink, faucet and backsplash handled on the same estimate.
Keep the cabinets, change the stone
If the cabinets are sound and the layout works, a new countertop is the biggest change for the least disruption: one visit to template, one day to install, and the kitchen looks new. We do it on kitchens we did not build — any cabinet line, any age — as long as the boxes are level and solid enough to carry stone, which the templater checks.
How it runs
- Quote from a photo. Send or bring a photo of the kitchen and the rough length of each run and the island. A designer quotes the price levels and you choose the material on the floor.
- Template. A technician measures the cabinets with a digital template, confirms the sink, faucet and cooktop cut-outs and the seam positions, and checks the cabinets are level.
- Fabrication. About two weeks through our stone partners.
- Install. The old tops come out in the morning, the new ones go on, the sink is set and the plumbing reconnected. A slab backsplash goes in the same day; tile follows.
What to decide
- Material. Quartz for consistency and no sealing; quartzite for one-of-a-kind natural stone; granite for heat and price; marble for the look, with its care; porcelain and Dekton for heat-proof, thin and outdoor.
- Thickness and edge. 3 cm eased or mitred is standard; 2 cm laminated or mitred for a thinner or thicker look.
- Sink. Replacing an undermount with the counter is the moment to change the sink size and style.
- Backsplash. Slab from the same stone, a tile from our partners, or keep the existing one if the new counter is the same thickness.
When a replacement is not the answer
If the cabinets are particleboard that has swollen under the sink, if the layout is the problem, or if the old counter is laminate over a sub-top that cannot carry stone, we will say so and show you what a stocked-line kitchen costs instead — often less than expected once the counter is in the number anyway.
