Full-access construction, American-built

Frameless cabinets are what most people mean when they say a modern or European kitchen: flat fronts that nearly touch, no frame around the opening, drawers that use the whole width of the box. The lines on our floor build that construction in the United States with plywood boxes and Blum or SALICE hardware, in everything from a painted shaker to a high-gloss acrylic slab.

The frameless lines

Eclipse

Shiloh's frameless line from Dudley, Missouri: ¾-inch box, every one of Shiloh's forty wood doors and finishes, plus the Metropolitan slab door in gloss and matte acrylic, high-pressure laminate, textured thermally-fused laminate and reconstituted white-oak and walnut veneer. Blum soft-close throughout, ten-year warranty, about six weeks. Finish families.

Fabuwood Illume and Ovela

Catalina slab and Tuscany wide-shaker fronts in gloss, matte and textured surfaces. Illume is built on an engineered-board box with Blum MERIVOBOX metal drawers; Ovela, launched in November 2025, puts the same fronts on an all-plywood box with dovetail drawers. Both from Newark.

Adornus

The frameless specialist: Essential, the quick-ship plywood line in Pure White, Natural Stain and White Oak; Designer, semi-custom with twenty Sherwin-Williams colours and eight door styles; Alusso, the Euro-modern line on the laminate-wrapped Capri box with fifteen textured and four gloss or super-matte fronts and an optional handleless GOLA channel. Built in Lancaster, South Carolina; distributed from East Windsor, NJ.

Kith — Eudora

Kith's full-access line for modern rooms, with wider drawers and openings, maple or MDF doors and the exclusive Cambridge, Oxford and Lancaster doors, from Haleyville, Alabama.

Frameless kitchens we have built

What to know before you choose frameless

Installation tolerance. With reveals of an eighth of an inch or less, the walls and floor are corrected first. Our crew does it every week.
Interior finish. Frameless boxes are finished inside — natural, white or linen laminate on Eclipse, matching exteriors on Adornus — because you see the inside every time a door opens.
Hinges and pulls. Six-way adjustable soft-close hinges are standard; for a handleless look, plan the GOLA channel or edge pulls at the design stage.

Questions we get

What is a frameless cabinet?

A box with no face frame: the doors and drawer fronts hang directly on the ¾-inch box and cover it almost completely, so the drawers are wider, the openings are unobstructed and the look is flat and modern. European kitchens are built this way; the American lines here build it with plywood.

Which frameless lines do you carry?

Eclipse (Shiloh's frameless sister line), Fabuwood Illume and the new all-plywood Ovela, Adornus Essential, Designer and Alusso, and Kith's Eudora. Adornus has specialised in frameless since 2007 and is the only maker here whose whole range is full-access.

Is frameless less sturdy?

No — the box is thicker (¾ inch all round) precisely because there is no frame to stiffen it. Installation is less forgiving: walls and floors have to be dealt with first and reveals set evenly, which is why our own crew installs it.

Frameless or framed for a shaker kitchen?

Either. Frameless gives you about ten percent more drawer width and a tighter, modern reveal; framed gives you the traditional look with a visible frame around each door. The construction guide walks through it; both are on the showroom floor side by side.

Can frameless doors be painted or stained wood?

Yes. Eclipse takes every Shiloh wood door and finish; Adornus Designer uses hardwood mortise-and-tenon doors in twenty Sherwin-Williams colours; Eudora offers maple and MDF doors. The slab-and-laminate look is an option, not a requirement.

What about handleless kitchens?

Adornus Alusso builds on the Capri box with an integrated GOLA aluminium channel, and Eclipse's Metropolitan slab takes finger pulls and edge pulls. Both are in the catalogue pages.
