Nine American plants, two New Jersey assemblers

Most of what we sell above the stock level is built in the United States by family-owned companies that have been making cabinets for decades — Shiloh since 1977, Crystal since 1947 — and the two lines closest to our showrooms, Fabuwood and WoodConcept, assemble and finish in New Jersey and the USA from components sourced here and abroad. We say which is which, because customers ask and because it affects lead times, freight and service.

What it means for your kitchen

  • Lead times you can plan around. Shiloh and Eclipse run four to six weeks from Missouri; Adornus Essential ships in two to three weeks from East Windsor; the Pennsylvania plants are a day's truck away.
  • Service from the plant that built it. A replacement door or a touch-up kit comes from the same line, in the same batch colour.
  • Warranties with a company behind them. Ten years at Shiloh and Eclipse, limited lifetime at Kith and Fabuwood, and written warranties from every line on this page.
  • Wood from here. Shiloh's nine species include North American maple, cherry, hickory, walnut and white oak in plain, rift-cut and quarter-sawn cuts; Adornus Designer uses select North American hardwood.

American-made kitchens on this site

The rift white oak arched kitchen, the Heritage Polar and Seagull kitchen, the Westfield reeded-island kitchen and the Hale Navy inset kitchen are Shiloh; the Fabuwood kitchens — Oradell, Livingston, Cranford — were assembled twenty minutes from the Union showroom. Where each line sits on price is on the ladder; the construction behind the labels is in Cabinets 101.

Questions we get

Which of your cabinet lines are made in the USA?
Shiloh and Eclipse (Dudley, Missouri), Kith Kitchens and Eudora (Haleyville, Alabama), NOMA and St. Martin (Cressona, Pennsylvania), Great Northern (Rib Lake, Wisconsin), Plain & Fancy (Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania), Crystal (Princeton, Minnesota) and Adornus (Lancaster, South Carolina). Fabuwood assembles its cabinetry in Newark, New Jersey from globally sourced components, and WoodConcept assembles in the USA from domestic and global components.
Does American-made cost more?
Not necessarily. Shiloh and the Pennsylvania and Alabama plants price at the semi-custom level, and Adornus Essential is a stock line. The custom shops at the top of the ladder are also American — there the price comes from the construction, not the flag.
Where is Fabuwood made?
Fabuwood is based in Newark, New Jersey, about twenty minutes from our Union showroom, where it assembles and finishes cabinetry from components sourced globally under its Q12 construction standard.
Why does the plant location matter?
Lead time, freight damage and service. A kitchen built in Missouri or Pennsylvania reaches New Jersey in days by truck; replacement doors and touch-up kits come from the same plant; and the warranties — ten years at Shiloh and Eclipse, lifetime at Kith — are backed by companies that have been building for decades.
Are these lines certified?
Shiloh and Eclipse are KCMA members and ESP certified; WoodConcept is KCMA certified; Adornus Designer uses CARB Phase II plywood; every line meets TSCA Title VI formaldehyde limits.
Can I see them in the showroom?
Shiloh and Eclipse are in full displays in all three showrooms; the other American lines are on sample doors and finish boards, and your designer prices your kitchen in any of them the same visit.
